For those of you with domestic and global interests in Peace, my friend Emily Hine (and now so do I) suggests you visit the Peace Alliance campaign to create a U.S. Department of Peace (no kidding) and send a letter to your representatives in Washington. Emily is in Washington, D.C. at this very moment lobbying on behalf of this bill.

If you can't be in D.C. tonight, rocking on behalf of peace - like Steven Tyler - this is the next best thing. I did it. It was easy. So can you.

Still in the bustling Republic of Panama until tomorow.

For those of you who are interested in this next week's upcoming Seattle political Viaduct/Tunnel showdown, my friend Cary Moon at the People's Waterfront Coalition recommends (as now do I) the following excellent articles by Times' columnist Danny Westneat: 1 / 2 / 3.

Business seems to be booming down there. You know things are hot when Trump moves in as well as there are Many other high-rise projects on their way.

Last week we visited with our American Challenge sponsors at Autodesk HQ in Tualatin, OR. Russ made some beautiful signed/framed certificates, complete with pit passes for all of the Autodesk execs and team members who did not make it to Bonneville – a nice touch. Having access to the autodesk tools and team would catalyze all of our design work into a very efficient process. We are thrilled for 2007 and look forward to pimping-out our world speed record portfolio on behalf of Autodesk.

This week Russ is in Orlando today at the Performance Racing Industry show, drumming up more support and likely burning through Sharpies signing autographs.

The Evening bit turned out to be a feature segment and grrrreaat. I think the best piece which has ever been done on Russ and his quest to become the speed king. There was some nice Bonneville footage, Indy car footage, Lake Washington footage... out-take, behind the scenes stuff. Hey, even the back of my head during a meeting. Yes! I was pumped: thrilled for Russ and the exposure he captured for Autodesk And the super trailer Now in his pocket with which to attract more sponsors.

Catch Russ tonight on KING5's Evening Magazine. Because I have been many times "behind the scenes," Even I'm curious as to what they're going to show about the "top secret shot at a world speed record!" Show starts here in Seattle at 7 PM on KING5. I do hope they show some footage from our NASCAR record in Bonneville this summer. Hey, depending on the footage they choose, I may even be on the show too.
